Adam and Chava were created without the inclination to do anything wrong. They weren't satisfied with serving Hashem without an evil inclination. They mistakenly believed that they could serve Hashem from a much deeper level if they would encounter evil, absorb the evil into themselves, thus resulting in the desire to do evil. Then, succeeding in conquering their inner evil would be much harder and would result in the ultimate kiddush shem shamayim (sanctification of Hashem's name). What they thought was a "mitzva disguised as an aveira" was actually an "aveira disguised as a mitzva. All the best!
