Biography of Rav Yosef COWEN

Rabbi Yosef Cowen was born in Melbourne, Australia. He came to Eretz Yisrael in 1980 and learned in Yeshivat Ohr Somayach for 3 years. After marrying, he spent the following 20 years in different kollelim in Yerushalayim. In 2003, he began teaching in the Shearim College of Jewish studies for Women. In 2007, he became a program director at Neve Yerushalayim where he taught Halacha, Tefila and Jewish history. In 2015, he was appointed principal of Maalot Yerushalayim, a post seminary program for Beit Yaakov graduates.
